Prenatal visits will be used to discuss and create a birth vision indicating your wants and needs, answering questions with evidence- based information related to pregnancy, labor, and childbirth within scope with additional questions outside of doula scope directed to current medical provider. These visits will also be used to discuss OB/midwife visits, any concerns or fears, and answer questions that you may have regarding breastfeeding with a focus on latching, feeding positions, and attachment, to assist in achieving success with lactation.
Once on-call I will remain within 2 hours from birthing location and will be available to come to you once you are in active labor or sooner depending on needs and request.
During labor and birth you will be provided with emotional comfort and physical support with emphasis on your goals and birth vision with support for any changes you choose to make with informed choice and consent. If a partner is present guidance will be given to empower them to feel included, participative, and present for you during this time. Support will continue to be given despite any unplanned circumstances that may arise including but not limited to an: induction, planned or emergency C-sections, VBAC, choice for an epidural, transfer to a hospital from original birthing location, etc. Non-professional labor and birth photos will also be taken to capture the memorable experience.
Post-birth support up to 2 hours helping to establish skin-to-skin, initial latching/breastfeeding, and allowing for you to get comfortable and settled prior to exit. A postpartum visit once you and baby are home, typically within 14 days from birth, will be scheduled allowing for you to discuss your birth experience if desired, ask questions regarding breastfeeding, postpartum, and newborn care as well as give feedback regarding the services I provided.

Birth Support Includes: 2 video/phone call prenatal visits, text/video call during labor & the birth, and one hour after the birth. One postpartum video call within the 14 days following birth.
$200 per week PostPartum Support
PostPartum Support Includes: 5 video/phone one-hour calls per week to cover postpartum self-care and nutrition, emotional and physical concerns, sleep support, newborn care, breastfeeding support, birth trauma/processing of birthing experience, etc. for up to 12 weeks.

The Shalom Fourth Trimester PostPartum Doula
12 hours/week: $500
Includes:
One (1) visit prior to services beginning, prenatally if booked prior to the birth.
Assistance and guidance with feeding & infant support care, light housekeeping, small errands
Emotional & physical support
The small things that before we may have taken for granted such as being able to take naps/showers/eating without rushing are a few of the things postpartum doulas can support mothers with. Many mothers feel the additional support is welcomed and needed to help with their newborns and other siblings (if applicable) in the home once their spouse/partner returns to work.
One (1) in-home prepared meal for each week serviced. Reheating of cooked food already in home is included. Education on postpartum, breastfeeding, and community resource referrals given at request. Spouses/partners, if applicable, encouraged to engage and ask questions to better support the mother emotionally during this period as well. Postpartum services offered up to 12 weeks post birth.

Phone/text support throughout pregnancy AND (12 weeks) postpartum.
As the head of the household/family the man’s spiritual responsibility increases once a child is conceived. The physical and emotional transition(s) occurring with mothers and the preparation for the new addition can sometimes feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate.
This option provides first-time and even seasoned fathers with godly counsel as they navigate the family dynamics of a growing family within the Kingdom of God. Discussing topics such as: recovery from birth, baby bonding, infant soothing, basic newborn care, supporting your partner through fertility, labor, birth and postpartum, how to speak up in any setting for your family, support during breastfeeding/infant feeding, how to combat any worry and fear in mama, birth trauma that fathers may encounter, and any other tools to make this entrance/ addition in parenthood smooth as the Holy Spirit leads.

Having a birth vision is an important step to advocate for your birth rights during and after labor. Creating this vision empowers you to communicate to your birth team your wishes and allow for a more positive experience. This session includes two birth plans with evidence-based research provided to educate on questioned topics in order to allow for informed decisions that best fit your needs.

Postpartum Vision Assistance
$100- 1 hour virtual session + Postpartum Vision PDF Workbook
The goal of creating a postpartum vision is to create realistic expectations for yourself and your family while setting up the necessary support systems prenatally. Typically, mamas spend a lot of time focusing on the visions for their births yet focus very little on how they will adjust afterward. We will intentionally focus on what practical support consists of, creating healthy boundaries, mental wellness, etc. to prepare for what is one of the most important transitions of a mother’s life, The Fourth Trimester.

Nesting Services
$50/hour- Minimum of 3 hours
Don’t have an idea on how to get started preparing for your new baby? Too tired or too busy to start planning? Schedule a nesting session to take the stress out of getting ready for your new arrival.
What’s Included:
